Tiger’s Comeback

On Sunday, Tiger Woods won the U.S. Masters. If you don’t know, it’s one of the biggest golf tournaments in the world (known as one of the majors).

What’s impressive about this is the story that brings us to this point. Tiger was 3954 days since winning his last Major. That’s 11 years! At the time of his last major he was considered unstoppable. Then disaster struck.

His marriage fell apart. His addictions became public. He fell out with long time friends, managers, and coaches.

Just 18 months ago Tiger faced back surgery and it looked like he’d never play golf again. Just yesterday, he won The Masters by just one shot.

Tiger is not the perfect role model or human being. This email doesn’t excuse any of his bad behaviour of how he’s treated people. What it’s meant to do is ask you to use Tiger’s comeback as inspiration for your own comeback.

Maybe you’ve put on some weight and lost your previous fitness. Maybe you’ve had an injury. Maybe you’ve never hit the peak you felt you could have.

It’s not too late. It might take time. It might take A LOT of time. But that doesn’t mean you can’t come back, come back stronger, and inspire someone else on their journey too.

Have a great week!
