Partner Rowing Drills

Partner Rowing Drills to maximise your power at the start of the stroke.

We want to transfer as much power as possible from our feet to the handle and flywheel in rowing. This drill helps us find that power.

Get your partner to lean over the flywheel and hold onto the handle (one hand over and one hand under). Lift your weight off the seat until your ass is ALMOST off the seat. Now you’ve as much connection to the handles at possible.

Your partner should then count down, “3,2,1” and then let go, allowing you to finish the rowing stroke.
