Work hard. Why? When you give your best, you get the greatest return. Not just in fitness. But in your own sense of fulfilment. Isn’t that what it’s about?
No one minds if you’re not the fastest, or the strongest, or the most skilful or most mobile. They’re happy for you if you’re devoting yourself 100% to the task at hand. Did you bring the intention to approach everything enthusiastically? Everyone wants you to succeed, and success is “the satisfaction of knowing you did your best.”
Laugh Hard. Laughter is a great way to boost your health! Laughter’s also a social bonding agent. It brings us closer to those around us and strong friendships are built on shared struggles (the workouts) and shared laughter (the support and encouragement we give each other). Positive, supporting relationships are one of the best predictors of health, happiness, and longevity.
