A Goal, A Plan, Accountability

Everyone needs a goal, a plan, and someone to help them stay accountable. If you find your fitness stalling or going backwards, it’s usually down to one of these three things not working.

Goals are clearly defined, wishes aren’t. Your goal can be specific, like lose 5Kg by a certain date, or more broad, like attend thee classes a week. You’ll have times in your training life where you’ll be working towrads a specific outcome, and time when just being consistent is the goal. 

Next up, is the plan. I’d love it if you could just hope the weight would fall off. But without changing some habits, it’s unlikely to happen. That plan could involve counting your calories, not having takeaways, or even getting more sleep and water in to reduce hunger/sugar cravings. For training consistently, it could be booking in your classes in advance and having your gym gear ready to go. 

Finally, to make a new habit stick, we all need a little accountability. This is where a coach or your training partner comes in. Your coach can check in each week to make sure you’re sticking with your eating plan, you can promise your training partner you’ll make it the gym and not let them down. Once you’ve repeated your plan’s steps enough, they’ll be second nature.
